Baby Cox is going to have a future sorority sister and Aggie friend in baby girl D. Her Mom wants to do a navy, pink and white nursery but is a little stuck on design ideas. Here are a few pics to help her get started:
Inspiration board from here
inspiring custom pillows from here
some DIY wall art ideas - white frames with fabric or scrapbook paper and sweet shapes like initials, cameos or bird silhouettes
Harper Bedding Separates from Pottery Barn Baby - pick a few of the navy and white pieces, and mix in a solid or print basic sheet from Target!
This rug from overstock.com
or, This rug - sorry, picture wouldn't work
Since navy and pink are hard color combos to find together, she may have to mix and match things in solid navy, navy and white, pink or pink and white. Anything can be accented with trim or gross grain ribbon, so don't look past a solid pink lamp shade that can easily be jazzed up!
Its hard to get started sometimes, but don't get overwhelmed! Try places like Marshall's Homegoods, Target and Babies R Us for some fun accent pieces once you get the basics down. And don't forget about shopping at regular non-baby stores like BBB and JCPenney for window treatments and pillows!

Had the exact same issue with my nursery colors. And yes, groisgrain ribbon trim is your friend to tie it all together. If she can find ONE fabric she loves that has both colors that also helps tie it all together!!
I love the pink and navy!!! So pretty together!! It is very true that you don't have to shop at ONLY baby stores when decorating for a nursery! If you do, you'll never find everything you want!
