Showing Off Charlotte

Last weekend on my trip to Charlotte I snapped some pics of the Best Friend's house to show off. She has an amazing sense of style - totally opposite from mine - but so her. I think of it as Pottery Barn meets Anthropologie with a splash of JCrew. With a mix of high end items and DIY projects she has created a home that is uniquely hers (and her husbands). First up, this Halloween decoration:

Made from a piece of driftwood from the Goodwill and spray painted black. A perfectly spooky place to hang Halloween decorations. Or, painted gold, it would be beautiful with some Christmas ornaments hung on it.

She created this series of 16x20 paintings using a peacock feather stencil and some gold craft paint. Super easy and super chic.

This group of pictures in the bedroom is simple and elegant. Reminds me of a display at Anthro. Combined with a vintage chest it is super clean and vintage.

Who doesn't love a mirrored bedside table? Stylish and sexy at the same time!

And last but not least, a Hollywood Regency chair she painted and re-covered herself - after she bought it on EBAY and shipped it via Greyhound bus! I knew we were BFF's for a reason, who knew you could ship furniture that way!

More shots of my trip to follow, we went to an amazing French bakery that some tasty treats and inspiring decor.
