2 Months Old!

Hadley was 2 months old yesterday!  We too her for her 2 month shots, so I took these pictures the day before just in case she was not too happy on her birthday!  She is really moving and wiggling a lot, so it was tough to get a shot that wasn't blurry.  I am also trying out some of the settings on The Husband's camera, but am still having trouble getting good light.  Our house is really dark and I hate the way pictures look with a flash so they don't come out that well sometimes.

So much has changed in the last month, she is no longer a baby blob and really has personality.  She is smiling all the time, but is most happy in the mornings.  Here is a bit more on her:

Sleeping:
All night, from about 9:30 or 10 to 6:30 in the morning.  Wakes up sometimes around 3:30, but will go back to sleep.  She is sleeping in her crib, and we are still swaddling her at night.

Eating:
She eats 5 to 6 times a day, with no night time feedings.  We are transitioning her from breast to formula, and she is getting Enfamil in a bottle, but still breastfeeding first thing in the morning and before bed.

Likes:
Loves the morning time, and is so happy and smiley.  Loves her changing table and everything you do on it - changing her diaper, taking clothes off and putting them on.  Loves her playmat if she is in the mood, and still likes hanging out in the Nap Nanny.  She also likes watching the colors and lights of the TV, which I hope isn't bad for her!

Dislikes:
Not much, she is always so happy.  She is not too sure about bathtime, but she tolerates it.  And she doesn't like after the bath when she is all covered in lotion and I try to shove her arms into her PJs.  She doesn't mind her car seat, but if we get stuck in traffic or stop at a light, she will start to wimper a bit.

Now, how am I feeling?  2 months is definitely a turning point both mentally and physically.  I no longer feel like I can' t go anywhere without having to feed her or change a huge blow out.  We can run errands and get more done now.  She is still not on a schedule, but she is more predicable and I feel like I am better prepared for what might arise.  She no longer goes through like 10 to 12 diapers a day, but more like 6 to 8, and only 1 or 2 are poopy, so that is a relief!  Nobody told me that would get better, but it does!  And she no longer wakes up from a nap wet or leaks all over her clothes!

All the swelling from my c-section has gone away, and my stomach looks almost back to normal.  I still have that brown line down the center that I developed in the last month of pregnancy, but it is fading and I think I am going to get some bio-oil to put on it.  I have started working out and taking longer walks, and I don't get swollen around the tummy afterwards like I did at 6 weeks.

Next week is a trial half day at daycare, and I go back to work on December 27th.  Everyone is asking me how I feel about it but I am not quite sure yet.  I know I have to work, and I have a really good job that I enjoy, so I guess I should be grateful.  I know it will be hard to leave her, and managing work, her, and all my household duties will be hard.  I guess I'll just see how it goes!

and, just for fun, out takes:

my new favorite toy - my fist!

hey, what are those things that stick out of my pants?  feet?

Cute pictures! Good luck with going back to work and juggling home/baby life. I am sure it will be hard at first, but you will adjust. :)
