Real Life Rooms - Unique Wall Treatments

A proud Grandma recently emailed me some pictures of unique wall treatments that her son and daughter in law did in their kid's rooms.

Perfect for a little boy, they used decoupage to apply vintage maps to the wall below a chair rail. What a great way to share your sense of adventure with your little boy. Use vintage maps of your state, a favorite vacation spot or places you have visited to create a personal, unique wall treatment. Works great with a transportation theme.

In the girl's room they created this unique crown molding treatment themselves. Using simple boards they cut the scalloped edges, drilled holes and threaded a ribbon through. Its so cute it almost looks like a room in a dollhouse!

Thanks for sharing and keep the ideas coming everyone!

Decide on the material that you want for your shutters. The main materials that are used on outdoor shutters are aluminum, fiberglass, vinyl and wood. Wooden and fiberglass shutters are nice, but they are going to cost you a lot more than vinyl shutters.
