Try Out Some Chalkboard Paint

What a perfect way to let your child draw on the walls! Design Dazzle used chalkboard paint in this room to style up these ordinary closet doors and it looks great!

I am a big fan of Rust-Oleum products, they always work great, and they offer chalkboard paint in both green (for a classic school-room look) and black, as well as a tintable version that you can dye 12 different colors! The paint works on almost any surface so you can paint doors, an accent wall, or even an entire play table. Or, use the paint to draw shapes on the wall and you get a mural and craft surface all in one!

Plus, chalkboards are not just for your kid's room or play room, they work great in other areas such as a kitchen as well. Try turning the last door on your cabinets into a place to write quick notes and make a grocery list.

If your are not into painting your furniture, check out these cool storage options from Baby Miro, you can mix and match to create a custom space and the cabinets come with reversible doors with a chalk board on one side and a cork board on the other.

Chalk a little too messy for you? They also make a dry-erase spray that will turn your surface into a dry erase board. Happy painting!
