Crew Cool

My good friend Angie is super supportive of my blog and loves to give my canvases as gifts. I created this preppy monogram for her very best friend and it is on its way to Georgia right now!

After some super-sleuthing on Facebook (I used Angie's name and password to log on and spy on her friend's nursery photo album) I designed this nautical inspired piece for baby Arthur. Mom was a member of the crew team in college and has 2 oars hanging on the wall of the nursery. I used the oars as a watermark under the monogram and finished it off with some preppy stripes in shades of blue that were already in the room. Her crib quilt has green in it, so I used a touch of green in the border and around the edges. Perfect for the grown-up vibe they have going on in the nursery.

On another note, I apologize for the flash in the photo. I need to work on my picture taking skills or upgrade my camera....I realized today that it is almost 6 years old and digital photography has come a long way since then!

Oh, Art's painting made it to Atlanta just fine, and mom loves it! I got into it with an American Airlines flight attendant over it, but that will just be a great story for when I see you again. :)

Thanks as always for helping me give a unique and personalized gift!!
