Real Life Room - Crisp, Clean and a Little Shabby Chic

A couple of months ago I did this 3 pictures set for a Big Girl room in Houston. We combined ideas from a Dwell picture and a Pottery Barn rug that the Mom loved. To make room for a new baby, the little girl was upgraded to a new room complete with a big girl bed. The white duvet is accented with Brooke sheets from Pottery Barn Kids.

The black iron bed is pretty and doesn't take up as much visual space in the room as a wooden headboard and footboard would. I love the simple white curtains and the vintage-inspired light fixture. The overall effect is very vintage, chic and girly. The design is classic and grown up so it is sure to last her into her teenage years.
