My cousin recently made over an old crib mobile to match her newest addition's room and it turned out great! I also made my own pinwheel mobile using embroidery hoops and ribbon, but if you have an old crib mobile you are no longer using, this version is much more simple and takes less time. Plus, it actually spins and plays music, which is nice.
The concept would work will with all sorts of things swapped out for the traditional stuffed toys that come on standard mobiles. Try pinwheels, pom poms, wooden shapes or even Christmas ornaments (these come in all shapes and colors now days). The options are endless and you can make it super personalized, which I love!
