Modern Baby Boy Nursery Ideas

I know there have been a sad lack of decor-based posts these last few months, so I am back with another round of modern baby boy nursery design ideas.  I know people are looking for them, so I am bringing you a fresh, new round of inspiration photos for those of you doing a modern boy room.

For more details on each room, please click the link below the picture to be taken directly to the site that I pulled them from.  I get lots of emails asking where certain items are from, and the original site is your best resource for these questions.

Color Blocking - I love how this room combines a soft baby blue with bold pops of brown, orange and green.  A simple stripe on the wall and some modern accessories take this room from basic to bold.  The furniture choices also make it modern, mixing brown and white with clean lines.

More Color Blocking - are you sensing a trend here?  The stripes in the rug are mirrored on the wall, along with some simple graphic prints in inexpensive white frames.

Yellow and Gray - this color combo seems to be a trend for modern boy nurseries.  I love this fun wall paper and the striped rug.  To keep costs down you can wallpaper just one wall, or use a stencil and hand paint a pattern.  It takes time but saves a ton of money!

Stripe Treatment - Stripes are a staple in a modern room.  These thin horizontal stripes make the room appear larger.  The chair is more traditional in style, but a quick recover in a matching fabric pull everything together.  Using just 2 or 3 solid colors and repeating them throughout the room creates a more modern look.

Modern Jungle - Again with the baby blue, brown and orange color combo.  I love how it combines a soft element with bold pops.  The modern wood mural looks great on the wall and really accentuates the arcitecture.

Re-purpose Furniture -  An older piece of furniture can be updated and incorporated into your modern design with a new coat of paint.  Make your own modern artwork by painting canvas a solid color, and gluing on craft letters.

I love the giraffe painted on the wall. What a fun and nice touch to add to your baby's nursery!
