  I did a painting order for a friend this month.  The design she wanted was just so simple, I couldn't help myself and I did some painting.  They are for her little boy for Christmas, for his big boy room.  The bedding is Pottery Barn Madras and the walls are tan. Getting settled at home, gathering up pictures from everyone that took them.  And there were lots!   Not that many pictures with Mommy in them, sorry she wasn't feeling so hot!  After about 18 hours of labor, including 2.5 hours of pushing, I had a C-Section and was very slow to recover after a few complications.  We are happy and healthy now and I am sure I will do a post with all the details.

This is a picture of my nursery closet after I took the doors off.  The doors were these huge sliding doors that took up a ton of space and only allowed access to half the opening at a time, making it very difficult to access.  The closet is really wide, and has about a foot and a half of space on either side behind the wall that you can't see. When I was searching for crib mobiles, I couldn't find one that I loved that wasn't too expensive, so I decided to create my own.  I wanted something that looked good from below, where my baby girl will be seeing it.  If you don't have all the tools I used, that's ok, this tutorial will show you the basic steps and you can just improvise the rest - it doesn't have to be perfect!  I love getting pictures of my art once its found its place in the nursery - it make a huge difference to see it all come together!  This set was my very last order, done for a friend from college and her sweet little girl.  I don't know all the details of the room but I know the crib is Bratt Decor, the mobile is by BlaBlaKids and the crib bedding was custom made.  Enjoy!
